VIECC Championships of Cosplay

That was the Cosplay Contest 2017!

54 applications - 20 participants - 4 categories - and one show winner!

At this year's VIECC Championship of Cosplay we received more applications than ever before! From all registrations, 20 cosplayers from Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Slovakia managed to participate in the competition.

The cosplayers fought in four categories for the title "Best in Show" to represent the VIECC Vienna Comic Con in the final of the C2E2 Crown Championship of Cosplay in Chicago. It was a neck-and-neck race but at the end of the day there could only be one winner!

Daniel Felber also known as EyeOfSauron Designs - the Bruce Wayne from Graz - has convinced the jury with his Batman Cosplay from the game Arkham Knight!

VIECC Champion of Cosplay 2017

He put eleven months of hard work in his personal Batman costume. Daniel used machines such as CNC milling cutters and laser cutters, did everything himself including the shoes and worked with 3D printing for the first time. The cosplay consists different layers like the muscle suit, the imitation leather suit and the armor. Various mechanical parts, such as the movable chest are taken directly from the game and all props are fully functional.

Daniel has been part of the VIECC Championship of Cosplay for the third time and was finally able to take the title "Best In Show Winner" home this year! His passion for cosplay is a good example that you can achieve everything you want with a strong will, motivation and perseverance.

The VIECC Team want to thank all our talented participants and wish our champion much success in the C2E2 Crown Championship of Cosplay in Chicago!
